Quick show of hands…how many of you like baking? Guessing a good number of you raised your hands! However, I am sure there are many of you though, like me, that would never raise your hand for that question. Baking is a lot of work after all. You need time, lots of ingredients, money for all of those ingredients (which you will maybe only use once) and lots of patience. Let’s not even talk about the mess and all the clean up afterwards. Well, fellow non-bakers (and bakers too!) I have the solution to all of your baking woes. Scratch & Grain.

I saw this company featured on Shark Tank a while back and remember thinking how cool of a concept they had. Something that might actually make me want to bake. Because, let’s be honest, even though you can buy everything so easily these days, baked goods really do taste better when you make them yourself. So, when they sent me all of the tasty treat kits you see above, I was so excited. Right away, I could tell it was something I could handle. Truly “easy baking” at it’s best! You pretty much just need an oven (and maybe some eggs). And what got me even more excited, they have many gluten free options. Since having to go gluten free several years ago, I have learned that baking without wheat is even more of a headache, and so expensive. To have everything you need in one kit, it’s AMAZING!

With so many options, where to begin? I decided to make the gluten free cheesecake brownies first. All I needed, in addition to the kit, was a couple of eggs, butter and cream cheese. I can report back that this kit is foolproof! I followed the nicely laid out steps on the back of the box, used only two bowls (very light cleanup) and had amazing cheesecake brownies in my mouth within an hour.  Everything in the kit is labeled by number, making it so simple to follow the steps. No measuring, and no wasting of ingredients. And to quote a few of my girlfriends, “they don’t taste like they are gluten free at all.”

It’s looking pretty simple so far, wouldn’t you agree?!

Before using this kit, if something had a marble design I would have walked right past in the grocery store. Not something that I thought would be in my wheelhouse. Well, Scratch & Grain has taught me a new skill. The directions made it so simple, and it turned out pretty good if I do say so myself.

Fellow foodies, these brownies tasted just as good as they looked. I was in shock at how easy it was to get such a tasty treat, so easily and quickly, that I made. And you don’t have t break the bank to make them. Definitely the adult edition of easy bake oven! I am very excited to try out the rest of my kits, and I know my tummy is too.
