You may recall a post from this past winter, 1 Sweater –> 3 Ways, where I showed you one sweater and styled it three different ways. Well, here we go again! This striped dress caught my eye recently and I figured it would be perfect, and so versatile, for my upcoming European vacation. If you know me, you know packing is somewhat of a struggle (I like to take half of my wardrobe on vacation), so having a simple dress that can be changed just by accessorizing is going to be very helpful.
This Ralph Lauren dress is a perfect length, especially for travel, when just you never know where you might end up or what you might be doing. (Or how windy it could get!) The style is loose fitting and incredibly comfortable. For some reason, stripes scream “European vacation” to me, and an added bonus, the dress has pockets.
Look 1 – Sporty
For my sporty look, I threw my hair into a half-up, half-down bun, added some classic white tennis shoes, put on a colorful scarf and grabbed a big bag – perfect for holding souvenirs as you shop, or a day of errands.
Look 2 – Dressed Up Casual
I like to go casual, but never too casual! The better I look, the better I feel. For this “dressed up casual” look I added a jean jacket, great shades, a funky necklace which adds a pop of color, a great cross-body bag and some fun gold sandals.
Look 3 – Chic & Trendy
If you have picked up magazine in the past few months you know that tassels and pom-poms are all the rage. This happens to be a trend that I LOVE! For this look, I picked a bright pair of sunnies, a great hat (with a tassel band my mom made – she is one crafty lady!), an on-trend purse (with tassels of course) and a neutral pair of heels that elevate this beachy-vibe to a more chic look.
I hope I have gotten your wheels turning. If you have a simple dress like this, think of all of the different ways your accessories can change it up and make it feel new each time you wear it!
