Fashion is all about feeling. I have said it before and will say it a million times more, dress for how you want to feel. If your mood feels low, put on a fancy frock and watch a transformation happen – mentally and physically. If you work from, wear a nice outfit – even if you see no other human being throughout your day, you will be more productive. I guarntee it. So when you are feeling like you want to vacation in a far away place, but your schedule doens’t allow, put on something that will transport you there without ever having to leave your own town.

One of my favorite vacation destinations is Italy. I have enjoyed each and every town I have visited there, but the most memorable, and the one I dream of going back to regularly is Capri, an island off the Amalfi coast. I can close my eyes and picture myself on the beach, sipping a cocktail enjoying the sea breeze. Or walking the cobblestone streets with a gelato in hand browsing store windows. It is the most idyllic place. And with something as simple as the right dress, I can almost feel like I am back in that gorgeous spot.

It helps when you have a fabulous Amalfi themed party to attend where you can wear said dress. All of these lovely photos were captured by the iconic celebrity photographer Josh Fogel at the 2025 Gurus Beauty Awards, hosted by Gurus founder Derek Warburton. The fete was held on a stunning rooftop in the middle of Hollywood, but truly felt like being transported to the Amalfi coast. I wore a colorful, beachy frock from Unique Vintage that fit the festivities perfectly, and looked stunning in front of the photo backdrop, which was handpainted by artist Joey Deruy.

I could have been sitting at a local restaurant or even a friends house and in this ensemble would still feel a small sense of Italy sitting right there beside me. Feel the fashion and let it take you to a place or mindset you desire.
