Memorial Day

Today is a day off for most, but there is so much meaning behind this special day, beyond barbecues and boat rides. Today, we need to pause for a moment during our outdoor fun and remember those who have served our country. They are the reason we can hike or go for a swim, not just today, but everyday. Our service men and women are the ones fighting for our continued freedom. For all those who have fought for us, both living and deceased, I am truly grateful and salute you!

Washington D.C. is a touching and emotional place to visit any time of year, and I would imagine even more so today. Here are some pictures of the beautiful monuments and Arlington National Cemetery, that I saw on a visit to D.C. a few years back.
