It’s been said that a fun pair of earrings are the perfect finishing touch to any look. While I’m not sure who exactly said that, I am pretty sure they had my no-hassle tassel earrings in mind when they said it. Could any other earring be more close to the definition of fun?! These “finishing touches” are quite bright and bold, which are bound to make them the life of any (fashion) party. Multiple colors, stone accents and a lightweight design make them a good pair to go with a wide number of looks, from day to night. And, you won’t feel any earlobe hassel from them, as the tassels won’t weigh you down.

Any good finishing touch needs a good base. This dress is just that, and has been one that I have had on repeat (at least once a week) all summer. I found it at a little boutique in northern Michigan and fell in love. It’s just EASY! It’s chic, packs well, is lightweight and is a classic print and design. My earrings were the perfect accessory to polish off this look during a recent trip to Napa. They take the sweetness of the seersucker dress and the bow cross-body bag to a whole new level. They really do give it the finishing touch it needs. I wore the dress for day and added the statement earrings for night. It was the perfect look to explore downtown Napa and grab a casual dinner, but also would have looked just as perfect sipping wine at one of the nearby Vineyards.

I typically don’t do a large earring, or a dangly one of any kind really. Mainly because they are always so heavy and make my earlobes feel 10 feet long. I tend to leave the bold earrings for my “night on the town” looks, and my usual statement pieces tend to be necklaces. BUT, I have found a great little helper that makes a world of difference when I do want to rock a bigger, bolder earring. Did you know you can buy stickers that go on the back of the earlobe and help support the weight of a dangly earring? Well, you can! They have been a game changer in my world of accessorizing. And while my no-hassle tassels aren’t heavy, and don’t truly need the stickers, they make them even more comfortable, and ideal for longer wear – especially if the breeze is blowing and the earrings take flight. 😉

On another note, let’s talk about Napa for just one minute. Have you been? It’s such a lovely city, with endless restaurants to try, wines to sip and places to explore. I was excited that my last visit to wine country gave me time to  explore downtown Napa, as I had previously only been to downtown Sonoma. If you will be taking an adventure to wine country any time soon, I recommend a stop in Napa for dinner. It’s a nice break from the vineyards, and a perfect spot to regroup from all the wine tasting you have likely done. (See more of my previous visit here.)
