It’s that time of year – almost second to the excitement of Christmas. It’s awards season in Hollywood! Okay, maybe not Christmas excitement worthy for everyone, but for us fashionistas and pop culture lovers, it is. When is Hollywood’s award season, you might ask? Well, awards season typically runs November through February. Thanks to the wacky ways the world has worked since Covid, it’s shifted a bit and will culminate with the Oscars in March. Most people think the Oscars are the holy grail of awards season, and in many ways they are, but the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards are very meaningful for the winners, as they are nominated and voted for by their colleagues – you guessed it, fellow actors.

We have all indulged in more screen time since the pandemic, so the awards shows this year seem more special than ever. And seeing the stars back in elegant gowns and tuxes is just as special. Let’s not forget, the hair, makeup, jewelry, nails and other accessories. As the stars strut the red carpet, I look for the whole package – does the hairstyle fit the dress; is the jewelry too much, too little or just right; are the shoes the right style. Anyone can put on a fancy gown, but what the stars stylists do to bring the look to life is truly fashion magic! Here are my picks for the 2022 SAG Awards best dressed.
