Last night was a big night for the theater world…the Tony Awards! I have been lucky enough to grow up always knowing a wide array of the arts, theater being one of my mom and my favorites. For as long as I can remember I have enjoyed getting dressed up and going to the theater. As a child, my mom and I had season tickets each and every year. I can’t even tell you the number of Broadway shows I have seen, and I feel so lucky to say that. The love that my mom instilled in me early on for theater has stuck with me and I still look forward to every show I go to. I, of course, have my favorites,  that I’ve seen a handful of times (Wicked, Jersey Boys, Cats), but each new one always excites me.

I have to say, in my opinion, last night’s Tony Awards were the best I have seen in years. James Corden was a great host and every musical act was a treat. It made me anxious to purchase tickets for my next show, whatever that may be. (I guess they did their job, right?) And the nominees/attendees pulled out all the stops with their gorgeous ensembles. Below are my favorites from the night!
