Simple does not have to equal boring. Sometimes, the most basic and easy ensemble can be pretty extraordinary; it’s really just all in the details. This dress sure exemplifies that. During summer, you can’t go wrong with a classic white dress…it’s so easy to change the look simply by adding colored accessories or different shoes. (Or in this case, the colored wall you stand in front of!)

I recently took a trip to Phoenix for work and stayed at The Saguaro, which can be best described as a “vibrant pop of color.” Everything there, from the exterior walls to the interior bedding, is just so colorful and happy. Here in particular, a white dress is the perfect compliment to all the color.

I fell in love with this DejaVu dress upon first glance! Like I said, you can’t go wrong with white, but the details in this one are just stunning. The lace overlay is so pretty and flirty, and the cutout trim along the waistband, chest and shoulders is delicate enough that it’s more playful, and not too revealing. All of the details in this dress take it from basic white, which we all know can be boring, to stunning!

(Side note: If you are in the Florida panhandle, specifically Seaside, you need to check out DejaVu. It is one of my favorite stops when I visit my parents in Florida each winter. Cutest clothing!)
