We have been having unusually warm weather in the Midwest lately, and it has been GLORIOUS! Who doesn’t love sunny 70 degree days, especially in February, especially in Chicago. That rarely happens even by April! As much as I love my coats (we all know my obsession), this tease of nice weather definitely has me itching for warm weather apparel. I think it is safe to say that spring is on the horizon, and with that (for fashion) brings brighter colors, more whimsical pieces and lighter layers….plus hopefully no more mittens and hats.
I definitely took advantage of beautiful weather on a recent visit to Florida. It’s always funny to me, when visiting warm weather states, to see people in jackets while I am in a tank top. If it is’s warm and I sunny, I will go for it. Those of us that suffer through below freezing temps know we have to take advantage of sunshine and warmth whenever we can. On the fashion spectrum, it is always nice to be able to wear those bright colorful pieces we usually reserve for what would typically be warmer months.
I was thrilled to find this amazing straw bag while browsing in Hobby Lobby. I just love to wander that store, even if I am not hunting for anything in particular, as they have such fun pieces. Now, bags would not be something I would expect to stumble upon in there, but I did, and was I ever happy. It was a great find, at a stellar price, and the perfect compliment to my colorful, and fringey ensemble. If you are not on board yet, you need to get there…fringe and pom-poms will be big trends through spring and summer!
