The Velvet Throne

As the weather gets chillier, you, like me, probably start to spend a little more time indoors. It may not be by choice, but as the seasons change, we have to adapt! As you spend time indoors, probably catching up on your favorite TV shows, you will probably be snuggling on your couch. While I adore my couch, which is from Dania (seriously, its too comfy that I sit there too often!), I often dream of owning a super soft, ultra plush velvet one. You know, one I could call my “velvet throne.” I just love the lux look they exude. Seeing one brings to mind the image of being curled up in a cozy, over-sized sweater, in front of a fire, with a glass of hot cocoa, enjoying the cold weather (if that’s really even possible!). So, while I pick out my dream throne, for a future dream home, I will sit in my velvet chair, which will make do as my mini throne for now. For all you other dreamers out there, here the beauties I am coveting right now, and some pieces I think go best with them!

  1. Great Blog. I remember when Velvet Couches, Chairs, Setee’s, and matching cushioned Foot Stools were very popular back in the 50’s and early 60’s,
but date back to the the Victorian Era. 😊
