To some it may have looked like a funeral, with everyone in black. But, for this special night in Hollywood, it was simply an awards show taking a stance. Well, I should say the women (and men!) attending were taking a stance. That’s right, pretty much everyone walking the carpet [still red of course] at this years Golden Globes donned black to make a statement that Time’s Up. Time’s Up on sexual assault, harassment and inequality in the workplace. Every one, in every job should be safe and treated equally.
Now, these women weren’t in your ordinary black, they sparkled and shined in some very beautiful gowns…making another statement, that black doesn’t have to be boring. Below are the women I think made the boldest statements in their looks, aka the best dressed!

So, who made your best dressed list? I also have to ask if the Golden Globes gets anyone else as excited as it does me for the rest of the awards season? I think this is the perfect way to kick it off. Not only is the show held at the stunning Beverly Hilton [If you get a chance to stay here, you must, it’s so lux! I’ve stayed here a few times and loved it.], but it’s fun to watch because you can tell everyone attending is having fun. They’re conversing , eating, sipping champagne and sharing lots of laughs. I have to work on scoring a ticket for next year. 😉

Loved the Golden Globes – what a great movement ! Wearing black gave a voice to the TimesUp movement ! I was impressed. I wrote my Golden Globes post on the silhouettes of the dresses that showed so well in black .

There was! Almost every single lady. They definitely were united in taking a stand and saying Times Up!
