Best Dressed: Grammy Awards 2021

Wow, what a show this was – and I am not just talking about the fashion! (Although, we will definitely get to that in a moment.) A little over one year ago, I sat in the audience at the 2020 Grammy Awards. It was one of the most magical nights of music I could have ever expected. However, I think this years show, which I viewed from my couch, might have topped it. (For the most part – there were a couple performances I could have done without.) The past year in a pandemic has been utterly chaotic in many ways, but one area that seemed to thrive was music. We needed! Music feeds our souls, it tells our stories and it transforms our moods. Artists felt it and the creative juices were flowing. So many incredible songs came out of this horrible time, and that’s a very good silver lining. The Recording Academy really celebrated those special musical moments at the 2021 Grammy Awards. It was a night filled with incredible performers highlighting the best in the music of the moment. And these artists not only brought their A-game in song, but they passed with flying colors in the fashion department too! From funky fashions to elegant ensembles, there was something for everyone’s taste. A highlight for me was definitely Dua Lipa’s glitzy brunette Barbie look for her performance of Levitating and Don’t Stop Now. I wanted to step into her pink shoes and just have a great time.
