Best Dressed: Cannes Film Festival 2021

They may say this festival is all about the movies, but I would beg to differ. I think it’s primarily an event full of “see and be seen” moments, glamourous parties and some of the most beautiful views the world has ever seen – no, not the actors and the models, I am referring to the French Riviera. Best of all, it’s a stunning backdrop to showcase incredible fashions walking the red carpet day and night. This year, as the pandemic slows, and festivals and awards shows are back, now more than ever, the A-listers are bringing their A–game to the fashion scene. It’s a place and a days-long event that allows fashionista’s to really step outside the box. They mix old-Hollywood glam with French glam and add an Avant-garde twist. This year there were a lot of dark, heavy looks, which is not my favorite look for the middle of summer, but there were equally as any light and whimsical ones too. Some designers were on repeat, like Elie Saab, Dolce & Gabbana, Rami Kadi and Etro. You’ll see why – they created some stunning pieces.
