Pink Palms in Cuba

January 15, 2018January 14, 2018 sarahinstyle3 Comments

In anticipation of a post I’ll be sharing later this week about Pink Palaces, I figured why not just make it a pink week! Everyone could use some cheery pink in their life, especially since it’s a cold and grey winter for half the world right now. What better way to do pink than with… Continue reading Pink Palms in Cuba

White Hot Summer

July 21, 2017 sarahinstyle3 Comments

One summer staple all girls should have in their closet is a white skirt. Length: preferably just below the knew. Style: A-line. Why, you may ask, is this a must. The answer is simple, VERSATILITY! It can be dressed up or down, can be paired with a different top or jacket and look like a… Continue reading White Hot Summer

Destination Cuba – Part 2

July 17, 2017July 16, 2017 sarahinstyle10 Comments

I have to start off apologizing for being absent from the ‘blogosphere’ for the past week. With work travel, personal travel and well, just life, Sarah In Style had to take a ride in the back seat. Nonetheless, I am back, and ready to write! With that being said, a few weeks ago I shared… Continue reading Destination Cuba – Part 2

The Rhythm Is Gonna Get You

June 29, 2017April 29, 2019 sarahinstyle6 Comments

To quote the famous Cuban, Gloria Estefan, “the rhythm is gonna get you” and she certainly is right. Cuba has a flair all it’s own. You can see it in the architecture, the colorful cars and buildings, the authentic cuisine, and mostly you can feel it in the music. You will hear it all day… Continue reading The Rhythm Is Gonna Get You

Destination Cuba – Part 1

June 26, 2017June 26, 2017 sarahinstyle12 Comments

So, it happened…I ventured to Cuba, a place I have dreamed of visiting for as long as I can remember. I think my desire to go stems from my love of all things vintage (thanks to parents who restore old cars, collect vintage memorabilia and love antiques), my passion for all things tropical and my… Continue reading Destination Cuba – Part 1

Cuba in the Keys

May 9, 2016May 9, 2016 sarahinstyle4 Comments

I dream of going to Cuba one day! I have always wanted to visit and would love to make a trip there before it becomes modernized, as I assume at some point in the near future that will start happening. I would love to see the old buildings, with antique cars winding down the streets.… Continue reading Cuba in the Keys

Who’s ready for a mid-week mental escape, or some vacation planning, or both?! Well let me take you away to Kauai, Hawaii! 🌴 Today on the blog I’m recounting my time there and sharing the TOP 5 MUST SEE PLACES IN KAUAI. {link in bio}
What in the hail, Chicago? 🌨⛈
Have you ever wanted a piece of clothing from somewhere you’ve never been, just so you have something unique and beautiful in your closet? Well I’ve got just the thing for you.👗 This plaid skirt, which is buttery soft might I add, is from NOVICA, an online store that sells thousands of fair trade goods from all over the world. This one was made in Peru. 🇵🇪 I love that a place like this gives me the opportunity to support “local“ from the convenience of my own home. Plus I get a beautiful piece in my closet that not everybody else is gonna have.👘 I’m curious, is there a country outside of your own that you’ve gotten a piece of clothing from that you just loved? ❤️
#tbt ➡️ This time 5 years ago I was strolling the streets of Havana, Cuba. Let me tell you, you walk outside in Cuba on a July day and, well…🥵. But it was worth every drop!
13 years ago on this day I moved to Chicago. It’s crazy how that seems like yesterday and like a million years ago all at once. I’ve learned so much about this city over those 13 years, and so much about myself too. The adventures, the experiences and the memories have been great. Cheers to 13 Chicago! ❤️
I love when random and silly “National” days take you down memory lane. So here’s a Tuesday Take-Me-Back in honor of #nationalhawaiiday and #nationalbikiniday. 🌴👙☀️🏖🌊🌸
It’s the weekend, which hopefully means fun adventures ahead, whether near or far! If you happen to find yourself in NYC (or will be visiting soon), check out my 3 day guide. It includes some well known spots and some hidden gems. 🍎 P.S. The rooftop bar where this pic was taken had the BEST cocktail I’ve ever had. That’s in the guide too! 🍹 {link in bio}
Why are there so many songs about rainbows? Maybe it’s because dreams really do come true. Maybe it’s because skies are blue. 🌈 But it’s probably just because rainbows spark hope and positivity. And today on Sarah In Style we’re bringing that into our dining decor, with a true rainbow connection. 🌈 {link in bio}
