The Writing’s On The Wall

So the writing may not necessarily be on the wall, but the paper sure is. Wallpaper that is! You might be like many people who think wallpaper and see images of outdated floral patterns,  or have visions of old disco-era designs. Well, fret no more. Wallpaper is back in style, and in so many great colors and patterns. You can go bold if you want to, or you can keep it simple and just add a subtle touch of pizzazz to your space. Below are some of my favorite patterns of the moment and easy tips on incorporating this trend into your home.

If you worry about committing to wallpaper, think of one of these more creative, less obtrusive ways to use it….

1.Put it on the ceiling! Keeping your walls simple and adding the pattern and the pop to the ceiling can really transform a room. And it makes it very unique.

2.Go bold in the bathroom! Maybe you are too nervous to try this trend in a more visible place of your home. If so, try out a bold pattern in the bathroom. You don’t have to see it all the time, so it won’t become tiresome or overwhelming, but it will wow you (or your guests) every time you step into the bathroom. See my similar version to this bathroom here. (It’s a great DIY project.)

3. Go for the stencil! If you are scared of the “permanent” side of wallpaper, try out a bold patter with a stencil. You can get the same effect, and when you are ready for another change, you can just paint over it.

  1. Beautiful designs. Really like the bathroom idea and the stencil’s idea, seeing your mom and I and you love to craft and the ceiling idea was very cool. Great Blog as always. 😊
