If you have always thought Fashion Week was only week, you have been misled. You might be surprised to find out that it’s much longer than a week, and isn’t only held here in the U.S. Yes, the most well known for us Americans is New York Fashion Week (NYFW), which is typically about 8 days of runways and glamorous parties. But, after the designers showcase their collections in NYC, Fashion Week travels to London, Milan and Paris.
As this post goes live, Milan fashion week is in full swing. With Fashion Week taking place in so many cities, featuring countless designers, it would be too difficult for me to recap it all for you. You would be reading for days and days and would have blurry vision from looking at fabulous fashion after fabulous fashion. So instead, I’ll just be sharing my favorite runway moments from New York and London (I had to include, as my favorite Fashion Week runway took place there.)
Mary Katranzou – London Fashion Week – Fall 2019 Ready To Wear

Schiaparelli – New York Fashion Week – Spring 2019 Couture
The inspiration of this collection came from Elsa Schiaparelli’s idea of the magic of childhood. To say it was captured accurately is an understatement. The collection is whimsical, uplifting and definitely reminiscent of childhood dreams!

Jenny Packham – New York Fashion Week – Pre Fall 2019
She is known for daintily dressing celebrities and royals, likely because her designs are ladylike and classic. This collection definitely follows suit.
