One thing that always has, and likely always will make my heart skip a beat (in excitement) is tropical prints. Yes, that may sound silly, but a good palm print just makes me smile. Whether it’s wallpaper, home furnishings, tableware or just a cute dress, it always adds a bit of warmth, and no matter where you are, makes you feel like you are in the tropics. Which, next to Disney World, may just be the happiest of places on earth!
With tropical prints, you don’t have to be located somewhere warm that’s dotted with palm trees to feel the effects. Slip on a tropical print dress in the middle of the urban jungle and you truly get the best of both worlds. It brings the summer heat (but keeps you cool) and gives you that summer glow, no matter where you might physically be. I styled the dress in these photos with accessories appropriate for a work meeting (back when those happened in person), but it could easily be dressed down for a day of shopping, or dressed up for a night on the town. While I love a solo palm leaf pattern, adding black and white stripes and some floral pops of color just takes it to the next level. What can I say, I like clothing that is fun, makes me stand out and most importantly makes me feel good.
