I am pretty sure you have seen me in this coat more times than you care to, but like I’ve said before, I love it! Winter clothing can be so drab and every day as I head into my office building downtown Chicago I seem to see black, black, grey, and oh…more black. In a sea of darkness, a pop of green really is a nice change. This coat not only makes me happy when it is freezing outside, but seems to make others feel the same. I have gotten so many compliments on this bad boy it’s hard to count them. It’s such a nice feeling to have random people on the street stop you and tell you how much they love your jacket and how fun the color is. And despite what you might think, it goes with just about everything, and can be dressed up or down.

My jacket is from J. Crew but is from fall 2015, so it is no longer available in stores. I don’t want you to actually feel green with envy though, so I have shared some similar green coats below that could be hanging in your closet real soon. And hey, maybe green is not your color, that’s okay. Just remember, there are a lot of colors out there beyond black, experiment in winter and pick something that adds a little pep to your step.
