August is one of our best summer months. Not too hot, not too cold. A perfect time to dine al fresco! Dining outside doesn’t have to mean picnic style; you know, paper plates and a blanket to sit on. You can have pretty stellar dining decor outdoors too! For me, there is no better combination than palm print and flamingos. So, this months dining decor features just that. A perfect summer night on my pool patio with some friends, flamingo and human ones, was had, and it was had in tropical style.
If you like entertaining as much as I do, you probably like to change things up pretty frequently. No one wants their guests seeing the same decor each visit, right? I am here to say you don’t have to break the bank trying to style your dining space. Here are some tips!
- Buy in small quantities for the number of people you will be hosting.
- Think plastic. No, not red solo cups! Plastic tableware has come a long way. You can find plates that look like the real deal, and even gold silverware.
- Go to discount stores. Places like TJ Maxx, Marshalls and Home Goods are a great place to find unique, and cheap options to jazz up your space.
- For dining outdoors, be sure to have a citronella candle to keep the bugs away! If you have to buy one, buy one that supports a good cause. Mine is from Bright Endeavors, which teaches young moms the path towards professional success.
